For all the things my hands have held, the best by far is you…
A handpainted nursery, decorated with unique touches, custom designed by Mom, that is one of the best places for little M to catch some sleep. The nursery has a sofa, which I’m sure is perfect for attempting sleep, especially during the sleep deprived first few months. I couldn’t help but observe all the wonderful decor- the handpainting, the crib sheet with hot air balloons, the stuffed animals, the chandelier. With a creative, artistic Mama, I suppose the nursery wouldn’t be anything less than gorgeous.
Dad enjoys photography, so he took out his camera, and we discussed technical camera terms, angles, and other things photography- I’m always excited to talk to others about capturing memories. I wouldn’t be surprised if little lady was thinking, “good grief, I didn’t sign up for paparazzi!” It was like a photo session and photo workshop all in one evening. The love he has for his daughter knows no bounds- he was enamored with everything she did, watching every facial movement, and loving the snuggles. I loved his hat he made sure to wear, that said, “New Dad”.
Mom is a custom jewelry designer, and her portfolio is so unique and beautiful- I’m sure her daughter will have a gorgeous collection of handmade pieces…how lucky is she, that she can think of pieces she’d want, and mom can make them?
So, the nursery is awesome, but the living room is AMMMMMAAAAAAZING! Floor to ceiling windows, with lots of natural light, and floor to ceiling bookshelves, with books for days. It’s the perfect place to curl up and read, or nap, or catch up with good friends. I may have to make up reasons to go back there for sessions…
